The Wounded Cry: A Testimony of Acceptance in Jesus Christ

James Maloney's start in life was rooted in abuse, rejection, and fear. As a teenager, facing thoughts of suicide, he cried out to God, "If You're real, You're going to have to reveal Yourself to me."

Jesus Christ appeared to James in a cloud of glory and told him, "I have heard your cry for acceptance. I have heard your cry for reality, and I love you just the way you are."

Like many others in this world, James suffered under severe wounds of rejection stemming from physical and emotional abuse as a child. He labored under fear and isolation. Even so, his moving testimony shows Jesus as the Great Physician-one who can uproot any issue and touch any person and make them whole, no matter how wounded they may be.
